Summary: | 1,222,147. Stacking crates. VEREINIGTE DEUTSCHE METALLWERKE A.G. 4 July, 1968 [5 July, 1967], No. 32053/68. Heading B8P. A plastic crate for bottles &c. which may be stacked sideways on a similarly-positioned like crate has stacking projections each comprising a pair of offset ribs on its top and bottom engageable with co-operating projections on the side of the crate below. As shown, plastics bottle crates have rims 3 round their mouths 1, and at each corner have inclined offset stacking ribs 6 in two parallel parts, for engagement by oppositely-inclined stacking ribs. In one modification, stacking ribs 9, Fig. 5, are braced against the crate rims by reinforcing ribs. In further modifications the stacking ribs are of right-angled form, Figs. 3, 4 (not shown). |
