Abstract A moulding composition comprises (I) a graft copolymer of styrene and acrylonitrile, or their alkyl derivatives, on a polymer of a conjugated diene comprising at least 80% polymerized diene and at most 20% styrene, acrylonitrile, an alkyl styrene, an alkyl acrylonitrile or a mixture thereof and (II) (a) a copolymer of a conjugated diene with an ester and/or nitrile of an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid and (b) an optionally etherified or esterified polypropylene glycol with a degree of polymerization of from 10 to 1000. The composition may contain styrene-acrylonitrile copolymer additional to that present in graft polymer (I) and copolymer (II) (a) may contain acrylic or methacrylic acid. The diene present in polymers (I) and (II) is, e.g., butadiene alone or a mixture of butadiene and isoprene. The ester or nitrile of copolymer (II) (a) may be derived from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or fumaric acid. The compositions are preferably prepared by mixing an aqueous emulsion of the polypropylene glycol with aqueous latices of the copolymers and coagulating the mixture. In examples, copolymer (I) comprises styrene and acrylonitrile grafted on to polybutadiene or a butadiene-styrene copolymer, copolymer (II) (a) comprises butadiene copolymerized with n-butyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, di-n-butyl fumarate, methyl methacrylate or a mixture of (i) methyl methacrylate and methacrylic acid, (ii) methyl methacrylate, acrylonitrile and methacrylic acid, or (iii) acrylonitrile and methacryilc acid, and component (II) (b) is a linear or branched polypropylene glycol, polypropylene glycol monomethyl ether or polypropylene glycol diacetate. The compositions also contain a copolymer of acrylonitrile and styrene or alpha-methyl styrene.
