Abstract 107,418. Krause, G. A. June 27, 1916. Tin oxide.-In obtaining dry tin oxide by reaction between lye containing tin and carbon dioxide, the lye is sprayed into a chamber a from which the fog or cloud of sprayed particles is drawn into a second chamber i through which heated carbon dioxide is passed. The lye from a pipe d is sprayed by air from a pipe b and is dispersed by contact with a plate e. The fog or cloud is passed by a pipe h axially into the chamber i. Carbon dioxide is passed from a compressor l and heater m through a rotating fan p or through a distributor having inclined passages similar to the stator of a turbine so that the gas passes with a helicoidal motion through the chamber i.
