L'invention a pour objet une machine électrique tournante de véhicule automobile, notamment un démarreur de véhicule automobile, comprenant : - un ensemble lanceur (19) agencé pour pouvoir entraîner en rotation une couronne (101) associée à un moteur à combustion ou à une boîte de vitesses, - un support (35) dans lequel est logé au moins partiellement l'ensemble lanceur, ce support comportant un passage (36) agencé pour permettre la mise en contact de l'ensemble lanceur avec la couronne, ce support comportant en outre au moins une ouverture d'évacuation (40 ; 41) distincte du passage, cette ouverture étant agencée de manière à permettre, lorsque la machine est montée sur un véhicule automobile, une évacuation de polluants projetés par la couronne et/ou l'ensemble lanceur.
