Hydropneumatic pumping installation - uses hollow piston to form air spaces venting alternately to atmosphere to coordinate piston and booster movements

Summary:Two double-acting piston boosters form variable spaces, linked through control distributors to an air supply to interlock and coordinate the piston movements with associated feed and bleed lines to the respective cylinders. Each booster (2,3) air cylinder (4,14) has a second hollow piston (8,18) on the main piston (7,17) rod which divides the air space (11,21) into two parts which link up alternately during the piston stroke with the outside atmosphere. Both cylinder space parts in each booster link to the respective control spaces of the two position power distributor (39,40) of the other booster. When the distributor (40) is switched, air feeds to the cylinder space (14,20), venting the air space (23) to atmosphere and moving the pistons so that oil is pumped into a line to the actuator (1), through a six-way cock (28). Fluid loss between the feed and bleed lines (26,27) is made up by a compensator (35). The air supply to the space (20) then switches the distributor to link to their supply vent space (11) to the atmosphere. This actuates the pistons (7,8) in the booster (2) at the same time as their corresponding pistons (17,18) and thus expels fluid from their cylinder (6). L'INVENTION CONCERNE LES INSTALLATIONS DE POMPAGE.L'INSTALLATION FAISANT L'OBJET DE L'INVENTION EST CARACTERISEE EN CE QUE DANS LE VERIN HYDRAULIQUE 4, 14 DE CHAQUE MULTIPLICATEUR PNEUMOHYDRAULIQUE A DOUBLE EFFET 2, 3 EST MONTE SUR LA TIGE 9, 19 DU PISTON 7, 17 UN AUTRE PISTON 8, 18 QUI PARTAGE L'UNE DES ENCEINTES PNEUMATIQUES A VOLUME VARIABLE 11, 21 EN DEUX PARTIES 12, 13, 22, 23 QUI, PENDANT LE DEPLACEMENT COMMUN DES PISTONS 7, 8, 17, 18 SONT MISES A TOUR DE ROLE EN COMMUNICATION AVEC L'ATMOSPHERE, LES DEUX PARTIES 12, 13, 22, 23 DE CHAQUE MULTIPLICATEUR PNEUMOHYDRAULIQUE A DOUBLE EFFET 2, 3 ETANT MISES EN COMMUNICATION AVEC LES ENCEINTES DE COMMANDE CORRESPONDANTES 39D, 39E, 40D, 40E DU DISTRIBUTEUR DE PUISSANCE A DEUX POSITIONS 39, 40 DE L'AUTRE MULTIPLICATEUR PNEUMOHYDRAULIQUE A DOUBLE EFFET 2, 3.L'INSTALLATION PEUT ETRE UTILISEE NOTAMMENT POUR LA COMMANDE DES ROBOTS INDUSTRIELS.
