The invention relates to an induction cooking device, in particular an induction hob device, comprising: at least one first induction heating unit (16) which has a first induction coil (18); and at least one inverter electronics system (14) which is designed to operate, at least in a first operating state, the first induction coil (18) in a primary circuit with a clock frequency, in particular in a range of between 1 kHz and 150 kHz, in particular in order to heat a cooking utensil (13). In order to achieve increased flexibility, according to the invention the induction heating unit (16) has a secondary circuit comprising a second induction coil (20) which does not have an inverter electronics system, the secondary circuit being closed at least in the first operating state so that the second induction coil (20) inductively draws energy from the first induction coil (18).
