Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Waage, insbesondere Ladenwaage, mit einem Wägemodul. Das Wägemodul umfasst ein Gehäuse, in dem eine Wägezelle untergebracht ist. Die Wägezelle umfasst einen festen Abschnitt, einen Verformungsabschnitt und einen beweglichen Abschnitt. Der feste Abschnitt ist mit dem Gehäuse verbunden und der bewegliche Abschnitt trägt ein Lastkreuz, mit einer Lastplatte. Der Verformungsabschnitt weist einen Dehnungsmesstreifen zur Messung eines auf die Lastplatte wirkenden Gewichts auf. An der Außenwand des Gehäuses ist ein Leuchtband angebracht, das im Wesentlichen umlaufend am Gehäuse angebracht ist. Die Waage umfasst eine Steuereinheit, die eine Zustandsmaschine umfasst, die mindestens einen technischen Zustand der Waage abbildet. Die Steuereinheit steuert das Leuchtband aufgrund des Zustands der Zustandsmaschine an. Die Steuereinheit beaufschlagt das Leuchtband gepulst mit einer Spannung, wenn die Zustandsmaschine in einem ersten Zustand ist. Die Steuereinheit beaufschlagt das Leuchtband permanent mit einer Spannung beaufschlagt, wenn die Zustandsmaschine in einem zweiten Zustand ist. The controller either: applies a voltage to the strip light in a pulsed manner when the state machine is in a first state, and applies a voltage to the strip light constantly in a second state; or applies a voltage to a third group of LED lamps of the strip light constantly in the first state, and applies a voltage to a second group of LED lamps of the strip light constantly in the second state.
