Abstract | The invention relates to vibration absorber assembly (1), in particular for tall narrow buildings, comprising a supporting structure (8), an absorbing mass (2) which has a center of mass (3), and at least one wheel (4, 5), by means of which the absorbing mass (2) can be moved out of a stable central position in two opposite directions on a concavely curved rail assembly (6) which is connected to the supporting structure (8), wherein a friction damping device (9) is provided. Such a vibration absorber assembly is to be capable of being adapted to different operating requirements in a simple manner. For this purpose, the friction damping device (9) can be adjusted between a first state, in which the friction damping device does not interact with the absorbing mass (2) or only interacts with the absorbing mass in a damping manner, and a second state, in which the friction damping device brings a movement of the absorbing mass (2) to a standstill in a controlled manner. |
