A fastening arrangement for a drawer base (4) comprises at least one rail (10, 10'), on which is formed a support (11) for supporting a lateral periphery of the drawer base (4) and also a wall portion (16), arranged at an angle to the support (11), for connection to a side panel (5), wherein the at least one rail (10, 10') has provided on it at least one pivotably mounted claw (13, 33), which can be driven into the drawer base (4), wherein a U-shaped channel (15) is formed between the support (11) and the wall portion (16), wherein at least one aperture (18, 36) is provided in the U-shaped channel, in a base thereof, and a tool (40) for the driving-in operation (13, 33) can be guided through the aperture (18, 36). The invention also relates to a method for installing a drawer base.
