Abstract | A device (2) for determining the chemical nature of at least two microplastic particles (3, 26, 28) suspended in a liquid sample (4), so as to distinguish the microplastic particles (3, 26, 28), the microplastic particles (3) having a size smaller than 200 micrometers, the device comprising : a microfluidic chip (1) having at least one first microfluidic channel (13), which comprises an alignment area (11) so that the microplastic particles (3, 26, 28) flow one behind the other in the first microfluidic channel (13), and an analysis area (12) for chemical analysis microplastic particles situated downstream the alignment area (11), spectroscopy means (5) at the analysis area (12) in order to determine in real time during the flow, the chemical nature of each microplastic particle (3, 26, 28), pressure means which displaces the liquid sample (4) in the first microfluidic channel (13) |
