Summary:The invention relates to an expansion anchor (1) for anchoring in concrete, comprising a metal anchor shaft (2) which extends along a longitudinal axis (L). A metal expansion sleeve (12) is arranged on an expansion portion (13) and has a radially outwardly projecting moulded region (18). According to the invention, the moulded region (18) is designed such that a straight connecting line (28), which is at a right angle to the longitudinal axis (L), extends from a tip (27) of the moulded region (18) to the longitudinal axis (L) through a vertex (29) of a base (23) of the moulded region (18).
