Summary:A mold apparatus for manufacturing a coil component (10) comprises a support plate (120) and a die (130) that is disposed on the support plate (120). The die has a peripheral side wall defining an opening opposite the support plate (120). The coil component (10) is placeable in an inner space of the die (130) interior of the side wall. The mold apparatus further comprises a lid (140) that is configured to be inserted via the opening of the die (130) into the inner space of the die (130) with an outer peripheral edge of the lid (140) slidably received by an inner surface of the side wall of the die (140), a press member (150) that is configured to abuttingly engage the lid (140) so as to press the lid (140) toward the support plate (120), and a press mechanism (160) that is operatively connected to the press member (150).
