Summary:A current switching device comprises: a fixed electrical contact (4, 6) and a movable electrical contact (16); a holder (12) and a movable pressure lever being translatably movable relative to the holder, the holder defining a receiving cavity, the pressure lever being housed inside the receiving cavity, the movable electrical contact being mounted on the pressure lever, and the movement of the pressure lever allowing the switching of the switching device; and an elastic return member (28) that returns the pressure lever to its deployed position. The switching device further comprises a braking area (42) and a stopper (44) arranged at the distal end of the receiving chamber, the braking area (42) forming a restricting portion that locally reduces the size of the receiving chamber in orderto decelerate the pressure lever and the stopper (44) being used for stopping the movement of the pressure lever.
