Summary:The invention relates to a device and to a method for filling FIBC big bags with a bulk good (2), comprising a frame (3), a filling nozzle (4) for filling the big bag (10), a weighing unit (5), and a compacting apparatus (6). A holding apparatus (7) having a plurality of holding hooks (8) is held on the frame (3) in order to receive holding loops (11) of a big bag (10) to be filled and to hold the big bag (10) during the filling process. A supporting apparatus (40) is provided, which defines a supporting surface (41), by means of which a bottom end (12) of the big bag (10) can be supported from below. An equalizing apparatus (30) having an active unit (31) that can be displaced relative to the supporting surface (41) is associated with the supporting apparatus (40) in order to act on the bottom end (12) of the big bag (10) by means of the active unit (31).
