The invention relates to a base module (1) for holding a heat pump (18) of a domestic appliance (15) for drying laundry, the module comprising at least one heat-exchanger receiving region (2, 19) for at least partially receiving at least one heat exchanger (20, 32) of the heat pump (18), at least one component receiving region (3, 21) for at least partially receiving a compressor and/or a restrictor of the heat pump (18), and at least one partition (7, 25) that at least partially separates the heat-exchanger receiving region (2, 19) from the component receiving region (3, 21), on which partition at least one pipe feed-through (8, 26) for feeding through a pipe run (27) of a refrigerant circuit of the heat pump (18) is arranged. The partition (7, 25) is at least partially formed by at least one separately designed adapter component (9, 28) that contains the pipe feed-through (8, 26). In order to reduce the complexity of work involved in the production of a domestic appliance (15) for drying laundry, the adapter component (9, 28) comprises a feed-through section consisting of a flexible plastic, said section containing the pipe feed-through (8, 26).
