The invention relates to a refrigeration device, in particular a domestic refrigeration device, comprises a flexible compartment (6), which can be operated at various temperatures, and an evaporator (11), which is accommodated in an evaporator chamber (7) separated from the compartment (6). A defrosting heater (16) and a fan (18) for driving an air flow between the evaporator chamber (7) and the compartment (6) are associated with the evaporator (11). A control unit (19) is designed to simultaneously operate the fan (18) and the defrosting heater (16), in a heat-up operating phase (S8-S12) after a target temperature (Tsoll) of the flexible compartment (6) has been raised (S1), in order to heat up the flexible compartment (6).
