Summary:The present invention discloses a multistage blower, comprising: a blower housing comprising an inlet and a plurality of stator vanes, and wherein the plurality of stator vanes are formed on an inner wall of the blower housing; a motor shaft; and a rotor coupled to the motor shaft and comprising a plurality of axial blades on an axially extending wall of the rotor, wherein the plurality of axial blades are arranged in a plurality of axial rotor stages; and wherein the rotor comprises a centrifugal stage at the top positioned towards the inlet, wherein, when the rotor is contained within the blower housing, the plurality of axial rotor stages align with the housing to form a plurality of axial stages, wherein the axially-extending wall of the rotor forms a part of an annular flow path; wherein, in use, air travels from the centrifugal stage downstream through the annular flow path through the plurality of axial stages.
