Abstract | The present disclosure relates to a rotor of an electric machine. It is an object of the invention to provide a rotor of an electric machine with a reliable cooling of the rotor winding. Described is a rotor for an electric machine with a rotor core with slots to house conductor bars of winding coils, with sub-slots below the slots to transport a cooling medium via a first radial passage into a first cavity with radially decreasing cross section area, connected to second axially passages, which are connected to a second cavity with radially increasing cross section area, and a second radial passage to radially purge the cooling medium. |
