Abstract | A launch system for a pressurized pipeline 14, the launch system including a cable guide, comprising:
a tube 30 attachable to the pipeline 14 at an opening in the pipeline 14 such that an interior of the tube 30 is in fluid communication with an interior of the pipeline 14; and
a guide arrangement 142, 144 selectively deployable from and retractable to the interior of the tube 30 through the opening in the pipeline 14 when the tube 30 is attached to the pipeline 14, the guide arrangement 142, 144 including a first segment 176, 178 configured to receive a cable 36 extending from the interior of the tube 30 through the opening in the pipeline 14 when the tube 30 is attached to the pipeline 14, the first segment 176, 178 being positioned between the cable 36 and an edge 170, 172 of the opening in the pipeline 14. |
