Abstract | A disposable ablation probe, comprising: a hypotube shaft having a proximal end and a distal end; an inner conductor disposed along a longitudinal axis of the hypotube shaft; an insulator disposed about the inner conductor; an outer conductor disposed about the insulator; a coolant tube disposed between the hypotube and the outer conductor and defining an inflow conduit and an outflow conduit; a cooling chamber defined within the distal end of the hypotube shaft and in fluid communication with at least one of the inflow conduit or the outflow conduit; and a coupling member disposed at a proximal end of the hypotube shaft configured to operably couple the hypotube shaft to a handle. |
