Summary:The device has a radiation source (20) that emits optical radiation to a code carrier (10) with optically detectable position code. A sensing element (30) has light-sensitive receiving areas for receiving portion of optical radiation. The radiation source and sensing element are spaced apart from each other, and are protruded from a printed circuit board (40) that is spaced apart from code carrier at a distance (d). The maximum heights (h1,h2) of radiation source and sensing element are respectively greater than projection heights (h1',h2') of radiation source and sensing element. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing photoelectric position measuring device.
