Abstract | A wireless communication network comprises a plurality of stations and a central entity, wherein a plurality of different radio access technologies are deployed in the wireless communication network and the central entity coordinates and manages wireless communications in the wireless communications network. A method for wireless direct link operations in the network comprises: a direct link station setting up a direct link with a peer direct link station, wherein a first set of channels is assigned for the direct link and a second set of channels is assigned for a link to the central entity; the direct link station performing CSMA on a primary channel of the direct link; and the direct link station sending a packet to the peer direct link station on the first set of channels on a condition that a transmission opportunity is obtained via the CSMA performed on the primary channel of the direct link. |
