Abstract | The method involves exchanging data through connection between field device (F) and control device (B), for operating the field device. The connection is established through communication interface (K1) of field device and communication interface (K2) of control device. The communication interface of control device is provided as a hardware communication interface, which is emulated by software as Ethernetinterface, and is a USBinterface. The interface (SS) of data processing unit (D) is used as Secure digital(RTM: non-volatile memory card) slot. An independent claim is included for computer program product for operating field device of process automation technology. |
