Abstract | A document/bank note (BN) to be verified is irradiated to excite luminescent radiation that is detected through resolution in a spectrum. To measure such documents effectively that emit very little luminescent radiation, the BN to be verified passes a luminescence sensor (12) to be illuminated with an illumination area (35) extending in a direction (T) for conveying the BN. An independent claim is also included for a method for checking luminescent documents of value, such as bank notes, with a luminescence sensor. |
