A jig apparatus for use with a router comprising: a base adapted to support a workpiece; a template mounting bracket; and a template removably mounted to the template mounting bracket, the template comprising: a rear rail; a front rail adjustably spaced from the rear rail; and a first adjusting assembly positioned proximate a first end of the front and rear rails, the first adjusting assembly determining the spacing between the first end of the front and rear rails; and a second adjusting assembly positioned proximate a second end of the front and rear rails, the second adjusting assembly determining the spacing between the second end of the front and rear rails; wherein the first and second adjusting assemblies are selectively adjustable between a first configuration in which the front rail and rear rails are parallel and a second configuration in which the front and rear rails are not parallel.
