Summary:The invention relates to a delivery system for biologically active oligopeptides. The delivery system comprises an electrochemical cell and a skin-beneficial amount of one or more oligopeptides. In a preferred embodiment the electrochemical cell and the peptide are contained in a dermal patch. The invention also relates to a topically acceptable hydrogel that comprises a hydrophilic polymer, an aqueous or aqueous alcoholic carrier, at least one skin-beneficial oligopeptide, and a salt, wherein at least a portion of the carrier is a structured water.
