Summary: | What is described is an eye (2) for a restraint belt, comprising a trough-shaped housing (1) in which a folding clip (2) is mounted so that it can be folded out against spring force (3), and a locking device which secures the folding clip (2) in the folded-out position; according to the invention, the spring force is provided by a leaf spring (3) arranged parallel to the folding lever axis of the folding clip (2), this leaf spring being engaged on a nose (9) of the folding clip (2) that projects from the folding lever axis in such a way that the leaf spring (3) is increasingly tensioned during a first, relatively large part of the folding lever displacement, and is slightly relieved of tension again during a subsequent, relatively small part of the folding lever displacement. |
