Summary:In one embodiment, a sheet media input structure includes a sheet supporting surface (17 or 58), a movable pad (60) downstream from the supporting surface (17 or 58), and a pair of stationary pads (62, 64) downstream from the supporting surface (17 or 58) at a location where the stationary pads (62, 64) impede a leading edge of sheets fed from a stack (40) of sheets supported by the supporting surface (17 or 58). The movable pad (60) is movable between a first position in which the movable pad (60) impedes a leading edge of sheets fed from the stack (40) and a second position in which the movable pad (60) does not impede the leading edge of sheets fed from the stack (40).
