Summary:A splice (30) for joining the abutting ends (20a,20b) of conveyor guide rails of the type having a metallic channel member (32) and a plastic insert (38) deposed within the channel member for engaging the product being conveyed, the channel member having a central section and a pair of side sections which extend inwardly from the central section at a first acute angle. The splice comprises a first member (44) having a base (46) and a side section (48) inclined inwardly from the base at a second acute angle (b), and a second member (52) having a base (54) and a side section (56) inclined inwardly from the base at a third acute angle (a). Threaded studs (50) extends from the base (46) of one member, through the base of the other member, to receive a threaded fastener (60) for tightening the guide rail sections.
