The invention concerns a wall element for a passenger train wagon, said element comprising a profiled plate (1) and an insulating layer (6) secured thereto by a retention pin (5). In order to be able to fit the retention pin simply and mount it such that it is displaceable, the profiled plate (1) bears, on its side face (3) facing the insulating layer (6), at least one elongate retaining web profiled section (9). At least one retaining pin (5) is displaceably secured on a retaining web profiled section.
