Summary:Novel hydantoin derivatives have the following general formula (I): wherein A represents an oxygen or sulfur atom or the group B(CH2)pY in which B is CH or N, Y is a hydrogen atom, an aromatic ring or an alkyl or alkenoyl group, which may or may not be substituted by an aromatic ring, and p is 0, 1, 2 or 3, X represents a halogen atom, and m and n, which may be identical or different, are each 1, 2 or 3. The components (I) and their salts are efficacious against diabetic complications and circulatory organ diseases.
