Summary:A control valve (10), in particular for pneumatic deep-hole hammers, has in an outer tube (12) a control housing (15) and, as control member, a flat disc (20) which is movable in an oscillating manner between housing parts (14, 15) possessing air ducts (16). In the housing (14, 15), the disc is supported, so as to be centrally tiltable, centrically by a balancing pin (30) and opposite this by at least one stop pin or stop strip (40). Said stop pin or stop strip plunges into a gap (32), of matching shape, in the pin (30), in which the disc (20) is guided by a web (24) or projections (28) snapping in centrally between apertures (22). The end face of one housing part (14) recedes radially from the central support (30) so that an areal gap (36) with a small gap angle ( alpha ) is formed towards the disc (20). A supporting edge (42), against which the disc (20) comes to bear, is constructed along the tilt axis in particular on the underside of the upper part (13). It is possible to arrange a gap (18) next to the air ducts (16) and a web face (17), in such a way that good sealing between the disc (20) and the housing (15) is achieved.
