AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL CIRCUIT
Signals received by an antenna (20) pass through a band-pass filter (21), an h-f amplifier stage (22), a mixer (24), a second band-pass filter (23) and an i-f amplifier stage (26), and are detected by a detector stage (27). The detected signals are output from an output terminal (28). A gain control...

Summary: | Signals received by an antenna (20) pass through a band-pass filter (21), an h-f amplifier stage (22), a mixer (24), a second band-pass filter (23) and an i-f amplifier stage (26), and are detected by a detector stage (27). The detected signals are output from an output terminal (28). A gain control voltage (VAGC) derived at the detector stage from the output of the i-f amplifier stage is fed to the band-pass filters to shift the centre frequencies in the passband of these filters from the received frequency by an amount corresponding to the voltage. Thus the gains decrease relative to the received signals in these filters. @(17pp Dwg.No.1/11)@. |
