The invention relates to a method for circulating and cleaning air on aircraft, land vehicles and watercraft according to which a centrifugal separator is used to circulate the air, whereas the air in question is the air necessary for cooling the drive engine. Novelty lies in the air in question being both the air necessary for cooling the drive engine and the air ventilating the cabin of the vehicle, whereas the centrifugal separator is used to clean the air necessary for the drive engine and the air ventilating the cabin. The vehicle in question may be aircraft, land vehicles and watercraft or hybrids thereof. Using a separator for cleaning the air helps to avoid the necessity of cleaning or replacing filters and it combines the functions of cleaning and circulating the air. Also the separator must be cleaned, but cleaning the separator takes place less frequently and doesn't include the cost of new filters. For cleaning air a single universal separator may be used or, optionally, multiple designated standalone separators. Leiutis käsitleb meetodit õhu-, maa- ja veesõidukite poolt tarbitava õhu liikuma panemiseks, mille kohaselt tarbitava õhu liikuma panemiseks kasutatakse tsentrifugaalseparaatorit, kusjuures tarbitavaks õhuks on sõiduki ajammootori jahutamiseks vajalik õhk. Uudne on see, et tarbitavaks õhuks on ka sõiduki ajammootori töötamiseks vajalik õhk ja sõiduki salongi ventileeriv õhk ning tsentrifugaalseparaatori abil viiakse läbi ajammootori töötamiseks vajaliku õhu ja sõiduki salongi ventileeriva õhu puhastamine. Sõidukiteks võivad olla nii õhu-, maa- kui ka veesõidukid ja nende hübriidid. Sõidukite poolt tarbitava õhu puhastamisel separaatoriga langeb ära filtrite puhastamise või asendamise vajadus ja ühendatakse õhu liikuma panemise ja puhastamise funktsioon. Ka separaatorit tuleb puhastada,kuid separaatori puhastamine toimub harvemini ja separaatorpuhastamisel langevad ära uute filtrite soetamise kulud. Tarbitava õhu puhastamiseks kasutatakse valikuliselt kas üht universaalset separaatorit või vajaduse korral ka eraldi paiknevaid spetsiifilisi separaatoreid.
