Summary:A heat-distributing mounting system for clamping heating/cooling pipes on pipes for liquid or gaseous media. The system consists of one or more metal profiles which hold the heating/cooling pipes over the full pipe length and are clamped to the medium pipe by means of plastic spacers and clamping bands. Figure 6 shows the system in a finished pipe construction. The heating/cooling pipes 1 are retained on the medium pipe 2 by being clamped in a channel, open towards the medium pipe, in the heat-distributing metal profiles 3. Positioned above the metal profiles with a suitable interspace are plastic spacers 4, and bearing against these are a number of plastic spacers 5 of more simple design. In the spacers, there are respectively a cutout and a slot for fixing a band made of steel or plastic 6. Clamping is effected by tightening the band which is joined on the opposite side of the metal profiles. The pipe construction is completed with insulating material 7 and an insulating cover 8. On account of the low rigidity of the profile in the transverse direction and considerably greater rigidity in the longitudinal direction, relatively small pipes can be retained on larger medium pipes in such a manner that good heat transfer and small temperature gradients in the medium pipe wall are obtained. The system is used on insulated pipes and can also ensure that a given minimum distance to where the insulation ends is achieved. The invention is especially suitable for pre-insulated pipe systems in which heat is to be transferred from outer pipes to medium pipes, for example to maintain a given temperature level in the medium.
