Controlling IC engine esp. compression ignition engine
The first signal is produced by a sensor (115) which scans a pulse wheel (110) driven by the engine (100), to deliver a pulse type signal (N) at an interrupt input (141) of a control unit. Respectively two successive pulses define a segment. The control unit (140) supplies a fuel metering unit (120)...

Summary: | The first signal is produced by a sensor (115) which scans a pulse wheel (110) driven by the engine (100), to deliver a pulse type signal (N) at an interrupt input (141) of a control unit. Respectively two successive pulses define a segment. The control unit (140) supplies a fuel metering unit (120) with a signal (QK).A second sensor (130) arranged at the fuel injection nozzle delivers a signal (SB) at an interrupt input (141) of the control unit, which indicates a determined time of the engine cycle, esp. the beginning of the fuel metering and injection and/or the beginning of the combustion in one cylinder. The first sensor produces Z pulses per engine revolution, with Z corresp. to the number of cylinders of the IC engine. |
