| Abstract | The spectacle hinge which is applied for relates to all types of spectacle frames. The novel hinge has a typical construction in that it has no gaps, screws and pinching points (compression points, crimped points). In the event of a mechanical overload, the hinge, rather than being damaged, comes apart and, as a result of its clip-in mechanism, can be returned to its original functional state by any individual.
