Summary: | The light metal wheel has a cylindrical inner surface (4) formed on the rim (2) by machining a ring-shaped surface (4a). The machined surface forms a level, flat contact surface with an outer surface (5a) of the outer circumferential region (5) of the disc (3). The disc is so joined to the rim by a welding seam (6) that the stress between the rim and the disc is not concentrated in the weld. USE/ADVANTAGE - For use in the automotive industry. Allows lower product costs and simultaneously ensures a high degree of stiffness between the components. |
