Summary:The instrument for applying adhesive has a cartridge which is filled with adhesive and which is provided with a piston to drive the adhesive out of the tip at the opposite end of the cartridge. A storage chamber (8) for a small quantity of adhesive is formed in the cartridge near the tip. This storage chamber has an elastically deformable wall and is connected through a non-return valve to the interior of the cartridge on one side and is connected with the outlet hole in the tip on the other side.
