The invention relates to an adhesive containing chlorinated polyolefin as the only film former for bonding rigid and flexible PVC and other substrates. The adhesive according to the invention is characterised in that it contains 100 parts by weight of solvent, 5-65 parts by weight, preferably 15 to 45 parts by weight, of chlorinated polyolefin having a chlorine content of at least 50%, but preferably at least 60%, 0.02-0.15 part by weight of heat stabiliser, and optionally at most 45 parts by weight of filler, 10 parts by weight of plasticiser, 5 parts by weight of epoxidised ester and 20 parts by weight of adhesion-promoting additives.
