After the welding of two or more plastics profiles on a device for welding, the produced frame part must be removed from the device. In known devices an operating person must lift the finished frame part manually over the stops after welding. Depending on the element size, this is very elaborate and laborious. Since the welded frame parts have not yet reached an adequate strength immediately after completion of the welding, displacement and stress cracks often occur with inexpert lifting over stops. In order to overcome the disadvantages, the invention proposes that a device (1) for welding plastics profiles (6, 7) to form at least one frame part (17) for windows, doors or the like, with support surfaces (3) for the profiles (6, 7) be designed in such a manner that a lifting device (14, 16, 34, 34', 46) which automatically raises the welded frame parts (6, 7, 17) after withdrawal of clamping units (22) and which lifts the frame parts (6, 7, 17) over the support surface (3) for removal is provided.
