Summary:The large-capacity plastics rubbish skip has a rectangular opening round which is an edge open to the underside and forming along the front wall a recess engaged by the rail of a lifting and tipping mechanism, e.g. on a collector vehicle. At the corners of the skip sides (2, 3) hand grips (9) are formed, also acting a stiffeners for the edge (7). The edge (7) can run straight along all the skip walls between right-angled corners, and the grips can be profiled strut sections, which do not protrude outwards beyond the edges, and typically U-shaped.
