Summary:The housing is mounted on wheels, and has a guide-plate from which are suspended the ends of two parallel screws. The two other underneath ends of the screws are supported by a hinge. In the top of the housing is mounted a drum from which sheeting is unwound to give the heap of silage or grain being formed a cross-sectional shape of a semi-circle. On the silo sides of the housing are brackets on each of which are pivot-mounted a tubular drum and a first locking wheel. By means of an elastic, preferably rubber locking wheel drawn round the tubular drum and underneath the first locking wheel, the sheeting is fixed to a concrete base plate, thereby insulating the heap of silage or grain from the atmosphere. An intake screw with hopper operates the heaping-screw. An inflow unit with sloping scraper surface is mounted on the housing frame, and consists of a reel, and filler-hopper. The inflow unit is fed by a trailer with conveyor belt floor.
