1417462 Chromone derivatives TAKEDA YAHUHIN KOGYO KK 12 April 1973 [12 April 1972] 14972/75 Divided out of 1417461 Heading C2C The invention comprises compounds having the general formula wherein n is 0 or 1; m is 0, 1 or 2, when each of the R radicals is halogen, nitro, straight or branched C 1 to C 6 alkyl, C 3 to C 6 cycloalkyl, butadienylene (-CH = CH-CH = CH-) which forms a benzene ring with any two adjacent carbon atoms at positions 5, 6, 7 and 8, -COOR1, (where R1 is hydrogen, C 1 to C 3 alkyl or aralkyl) carboxamide (optionally substituted by alkyl or aralkyl), or amino (optionally substituted by R11CO-, where R11 is straight or branched alkyl or aryl), or C 1 to C 3 alkyl, aralkyl or aryl; and m is 0 or 1 when each R is hydroxy, C 1 to C 4 alkoxy or R111COO-, where R111 is straight or branched alkyl or aryl. The compounds of the invention may be prepared by reacting a compound of the formula with hydroxylamine or cyanoacetic acid. The compounds of the invention exhibit pharmaceutical activity.
