Summary:The use of a catalyst system in the production of polyolefins, except polypropylene, is claimed. The system contains: (a) substituted metallocene(s) of the bridged bis(4-phenylindenyl) type; (b) Lewis base(s); (c) a support; (d) organoboron-aluminum compound(s), bound covalently to the support; and optionally (e) an organometallic compound. The use of a catalyst system in the production of polyolefins, except polypropylene, is claimed. The system contains: (A) substituted metallocene(s) of the bridged bis(4-phenylindenyl) type of formula (I), in a ratio of rac-isomer to meso-isomer of 1:10 to 2:1; (B) Lewis base(s) of formula (II); (C) a support; (D) organoboron-aluminum compound(s) of formula (III), bound covalently to the support; and optionally (E) an organometallic compound of formula (IV): A = a bridge; M = a main group V element; M = a main group 3 element; i, j = 0, 1 or 2; M = a main group I, II or III element. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von bestimmten Katalysatorsystemen in der Polymerisation von Olefinen, ausgenommen Propylen, wobei das Katalysatorsystem mindestens ein Metallocen als rac-meso-Isomerengemisch, mindestens eine Organoboraluminiumverbindung, mindestens einen inertisierten Träger, mindestens eine Lewis Base und gegebenenfalls mindestens eine weitere Organometallverbindung enthält.
