Summary: | The ring on the piston (4) is arranged where possible in the vicinity of the uppermost piston ring for permanently acting solid material lubrication of the cylinder wall. The inclined points are distributed around the periphery of the ring and produce an unloading of gas forces and a radial force component, which leads to a slow rotary movement of the ring (1,2) and an even friction. The ring can be arranged together with a piston ring in a groove. It has a steel and/or cast-iron ring as inner support body. |
