Novel compounds of Formula I in which R1 is a saturated or unsaturated straight or branched chain C 7-20 hydrocarbon group, C 5-7 cycloalkyl, benzyl, phenethyl, di- (C 1-4 )-alkylamino-(C 1-4 )-alkyland R2 is H, halo, nitro, or C 1-4 alkyl and their quaternary ammonium derivatives are prepared by reacting the corresponding compound I in which R1 is C 1-4 alkyl with R1OH, where R1 is as defined above. Pharmaceutical compositions having anthelmintic activity comprise a compound I in association with a carrier.
