Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Schuhwerks (10), umfassend: (a) Bereitstellen eines Oberteils (11); (b) Bereitstellen einer Form (21) und Öffnen der Form (21); (c) Einsetzen des Oberteils (11) in die offene Form (21); (d) Schließen der Form (21); und (e) Einspritzen eines unter Druck stehenden geschmolzenen Harzes, (f) wobei nach dem Einspritzen ein mit dem Harz gefüllter Spalt (22) zwischen einer Seitenwand (25) der Form (21) und einer Außenfläche (17) von mindestens einem ersten Abschnitt des Oberteils (11) vorhanden ist, wobei der Spalt (22) an einem Kontaktierungspunkt (24) im Wesentlichen Null ist, wobei der Spalt (22) allmählich von dem Kontaktierungspunkt (24) aus in mindestens einem ersten Bereich (39) der Form (21) zunimmt. The invention concerns a method of producing an article of footwear (10) comprising:(a) providing an upper (11); (b) providing a mold (21) and opening the mold (21); (c) inserting the upper (11) into the open mold (21); (d) closing the mold (21); and (e) injecting a pressurized molten resin, (f) wherein, after the injecting, there is a gap (22) filled with the resin between a side wall (25) of the mold (21) and an outer surface (17) of at least a first portion of the upper (11), wherein the gap (22) is essentially zero at a contacting point (24), wherein the gap (22) increases gradually from the contacting point (24) in at least a first region (39) of the mold (21).
