A lubrication system guides a lubricant, and an area is limited by a side piece opposite to an outer side of a support side part. A complete circumferential groove is formed in a space of a rotary piston within the region of middle of an eccentric shaft for distribution of lubricant and/or collection of the lubricant for supply. A valve is laid out for prevention of an uncontrolled return of the lubricant. An independent claim is also included for a method for lubricating a rotary piston engine in a replaceable rank extender for a motor car.
