Abstract | A device includes an equipment for metering a reducing agent in the exhaust system (2) with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst (10) for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas. The metering process is preformed by using reducing agent or by decomposing reducing agent. Surfaces are provided with a catalytically active coating. The surfaces are vulnerable for deposition of a reducing agent or its decomposition products or derivatives. The device includes equipment for metering a reducing agent in the exhaust system with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas. The metering process is preformed by using reducing agent or by decomposing reducing agent. Surfaces are provided with a catalytically active coating. The catalytically active coating catalyzes a conversion of reducing agent or its decomposition products or derivatives with reactants into volatile reaction products. An independent claim is included for a method for treating exhaust gas in the exhaust system of the internal combustion engine, which involves metering reducing agent into the exhaust system in nitrogen oxides.
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zur Nachbehandlung von Abgas in einem Abgastrakt (2) einer Brennkraftmaschine (4), mit einer Einrichtung (14), mit der ein Reduktionsmittel in den Abgastrakt (2) zudosiert wird, sowie mit einem nachgeschalteten SCR-Katalysator (10), in dem im Abgas enthaltene Stickoxide durch Reaktion mit dem Reduktionsmittel oder mit Zersetzungs- oder Folgeprodukten des Reduktionsmittels selektiv katalytisch reduziert werden. Es ist vorgesehen, dass für Ablagerungen von Reduktionsmittel bzw. seiner Zersetzungs- oder Folgeprodukte anfällige Oberflächen mit einer katalytisch aktiven Beschichtung (24) versehen sind, die eine Umsetzung des Reduktionsmittels bzw. seiner Zersetzungs- oder Folgeprodukte mit mindestens einem im Abgas enthaltenen Reaktanten in flüchtige Reaktionsprodukte katalysiert. |
